Big Jay Sorensen has been on the radio for the 38 years, beginning at local stations in Monmouth/Ocean, New Jersey.
In 1986 Jay was picked by Joey Reynolds to be his side-kick at WNBC. After Joey moved on, Jay stayed on to host a show that featured the sound of '60's AM music radio stations called the Time Machine at WNBC. The show became so successful WNBC made the Time Machine the entire weekend programming.
After Jay left WNBC he had a hand in creating FM TALK on WKXW-FM in New Jersey. Jay would later host talk shows on WPHT and WWDB-FM in Philadelphia and KLIF in Dallas.
Returning to New York, Big Jay landed at Sirius Satellite becoming one of the first air personaliteis on theiR '60's Vibrations Channel. Jay also returned to his talk show roots at WCTC-AM in New Brunswick, New Jersey and on WJRZ-FM in Monmouth/Ocean.
Big Jay and wife Andrea Marie have been married for over 30 years and have two children, Bryan & Tracy and four grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Marie and Christopher.
Jay is also very active in charitable groups and is on the Board of Directors of the Monmouth/Ocean march of Dimes.
