| Dan Taylor was the Master of Ceremonies for the annual Navy League Dinner |
WCBS-FM Morning Personality Dan Taylor was quite honored to be the Master of Ceremonies for the annual Navy League dinner at the Marriott Marquis recently. Dan spoke about flying a replica of the first Navy plane from 1911.
Dan also paid tribute to a local hero Lt. Michael P. Murphy U.S. Navy killed in Afghanistan who was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor by President Bush. Dan announced the Navy League has set up a living memorial in the form of a scholarship to be established in Lt. Michael P. Murphy's memory. The scholarship will be awarded to a student from his alma mater, Patchogue Medford High School, in the amount of $10,000 per year for four years.
